What it really is

Text becomes letter outlines — ordinary closed sketch curves. After that you can do anything with them: extrude a raised inscription, cut an engraving, offset them.

Things to remember

  • Letter outlines can be nested (the hole in “o”, “a”, “e”) — when extruding, the inner outlines become holes by themselves, there is no need to point at them separately.
  • Small text with thin webs cannot be milled: check the height against the tool diameter before engraving.
